NSIC registrationNSIC stands for National Small Industries Corporation Limited. It is a Mini Ratna PSU established by Government of India in 1955. It falls under Ministry of Small, Medium and Micro enterprises (MSME) in India. In this article, we are going to discuss important FAQs related to NSIC registration in India –

Q – How can i apply for NSIC registration on my own?

A – For registration process, MSMEs need to complete application form. Completed application form along with supporting documents need to be submitted with respective NSCIC zonal office. Concerned officer at authority will check for all details along with validity of documents submitted. One can also apply online by visiting official website of NSIC and apply for registration under SPRS.

Q – What are the benefits of single point registration scheme under NSIC?

A – There are many benefits of SPRS scheme which includes-

  1. Free of cost tender info.
  2. Exemption from EMD ( Earnest money deposit).
  3. Advantages in tender participation
  4. Mandatory procurement by central ministries from MSMEs.
Q – What is the validity period for registration certificate?

A – Registration certificate is valid for 2 years.

NSIC documentsQ – What are the registration fees for NSIC registration?

A – Registration fees for NSIC registration is as follows –

  1. Micro enterprises – For turnover up to 1 Cr, registration fees is Rs 3000 which increases by 1500 Rs for every 1 Cr increase in turnover. Turnover is taken from latest audited financial statement for the firm.
  2. Small enterprises – For turnover up to 1 Cr, registration fees is Rs 5000 which increases by 2000 Rs for every 1 Cr increase in turnover. Turnover is taken from latest audited financial statement for the firm.
Q – What is the eligibility criteria for NSIC registration?

A – Enterprises fulfilling following criteria are eligible for NSIC registration –

  • All Micro Enterprises who invest in plant & machinery up to Rs. 25 lakhs and invest up to Rs. 10 Lakhs in the service sector
  • All Small Enterprises who invest in plant & machinery up to Rs. 5 Crore and invest up to Rs. 2 crores in the service sector
  • Enterprises holding MSME registration.

Q – Can i get a loan from NSIC and what is the procedure for obtaining the facility?

A – Yes, you can get credit facility. Procedure for obtaining the same is listed below-

  • Visit NSIC website and fill form for credit facilitation.
  • NSIC has tie up with several Public sector banks and loan would be provided to enterprises after completing through credit appraisal for the entity.
