In this article, we are going to discuss application procedure and documents required for FCRA registration. FCRA stands for foreign contribution regulation act. FCRA regulations mandates that FCRA registration number is a mandatory requirement to receive fund or grant from a foreign organization. FCRA act or foreign contribution regulation act 2010 is an act of parliament. It is mandatory to register for FCRA registration number to receive any und for an NGO.

Foreign contribution regulation act (FCRA) application procedure-

  1. Applicant need to visit FCRA website on this online portal for FCRA.
  2. Applicant need to create username and password on FCRA website.
  3. For completing FCRA registration, applicant need to to fill FC – 3A form on website for fresh FCRA registration.
  4. Scanned copies of all relevant documents to be uploaded along with form on FCRA website.
  5. For registration under prior permission, applicant need to fill form FC – 3B with scanned copy of relevant documents on FCRA website.
  6. Applicant need to fill following details on association form – Darpan ID (not mandatory), association address, Registration number, registration address, Nature of association and objective of association.
  7. Executive Committee option has to be selected next from the menu bar. The details will be filled in the Executive Committee form.
  8. Applicant need to add details of executive committee members on Executive committee form.
  9. These details need to be saved by clicking on “Save” button.
  10. To complete FCRA registartion, applicant need to mention details of their bank account. These details would include Bank name, account number, IFSC code and amount.
  11. Once, banking details are complete. FCRA rules mandates applicant to upload scanned copies of all required documents on FCRA website.
  12. Payment should be made for FCRA registration number.

Applicant should make sure that all details entered on FCRA website are authentic before pressing submit button. Once, details are submitted and payment is made no changes can be made to application. According to foreign contribution regulation act 2010, FCRA registration number is valid for period of 5 years. However, it is advised that applicant should renew FCRA registration on FCRA website at least 6 months before expiry.

 

Documents required for FCRA (foreign contribution regulation act) website registration

For fresh registration 
  • Self attested registration certificate or trust deed whichever is applicable.
  • Copy of PAN card of firm.
  • Self certified copies of AOA/MOA and deed under FCRA regulations.
  • JPG file of signature of main authorized person.
  • Under FCRA rules, copy of latest audited financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheet are required.
  • Annual report of NGO.
  • Original copy of resolution passed by NGO under FCRA regulations.
  • Foreign contribution regulation act 2010 mandates that a copy of certificate issued by Income Tax authority under Section 80G and 12A needs to be documented by applicant for FCRA registration.

 

For Prior permission
  • Self attested registration certificate or trust deed whichever is applicable.
  • Copy of PAN card of firm.
  • Self certified copies of AOA/MOA and deed under FCRA regulations.
  • JPG file of signature of main authorized person.
  • Foreign contribution regulation act mandates every applicant to document approval cum commitment letter from a foreign contributor.
  • Under FCRA rules, copy of latest audited financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheet are required.
  • Original copy of resolution passed by NGO under FCRA regulations.
  • Foreign contribution regulation act 2010 mandates that a copy of certificate issued by Income Tax authority under Section 80G and 12A needs to be documented by applicant for FCRA registration.
