NSIC stands for National Small Industries Corporation Limited. It is a Mini Ratna PSU established by Government of India in 1955. It falls under Ministry of Small, Medium and Micro enterprises (MSME) in India. NSIC was established by government for serving following objectives –

  • To promote small and micro business in India.
  • To serve as nodal agency for all requirements of small scale industries in India.
  • To provide free participation government tenders for all NSIC registered entities.
  • To encourage big government PSUs to procure raw material from NSIC registered small businesses.
  • NSIC also helps in getting financing at attractive interest rates from PSU and private banks for NSIC refistered entities.

  2. No earnest money deposit.
  3. Development of SSIs.
  4. Assistance in government tenders.
  5. Increase in sales by procuring materials from small business.
